Come volunteer at the Cat Adoption Centre!!!

This is Tiny, and he wants cat cuddles meow! The Cat Adoption Centre within the Niagara Square is currently looking for cat cuddlers meow!

Come visit us at the Adoption Centre to check out our merchandise! All the cool kids (and adults) are doing it! All proceeds go to support the animals at the Niagara Falls Humane Society.

We have:

T-Shirts: $15.00 (comes in pink, grey, or royal blue, and in a variety of sizes)

Water Bottles: $5.00 each

Back Packs: $5.00 each

Lanyards: $5.00 each

Plus many other products, including home-made cat toys (lovingly made by our volunteers!), scarves (for humans, of course), and coasters.

What do you need?

When adopting from the Adoption Centre, please be prepared. You will need a crate/cage for your new feline friend, and of course your home should be fully prepared with good quality food, a bed and a litter box.

All fees must be paid in cash at the Adoption Centre.

Please note that the Adoption Centre is NOT able to accept ANY cats at their location. Anyone who wishes to surrender a cat or has found a stray cat who needs a home must call or visit the shelter at 6025 Chippawa Parkway.

This is what Ray has to share about Buck: "Buck is a very gentle boy who loves having his head and shoulders rubbed. He's still shy and feels secure in his cubby hole but he has been making forays into the main part of our room. Buck is a bit of an older guy (6+ years), and once he feels comfortable here he will be more sociable. When you go to him and pet him he'll rub his head against your hand and purr so he wants to be loved. Buck would be a wonderful addition to your family and he would reward your giving him a forever home with a lot of love and affection." A special $60 adoption fee applies for Buck.

Here is what Ray has to say about Bumble: "Bumble's a wonderful cat - very handsome with a white tone and distinctive grey markings on his head and tail. One of our newest members, he stays out of the way but does not hide and will be in a place where he can observe what's going on. When you go to pet him, he'll follow you and rub around your legs wanting more pets. He's a very friendly guy and gets along great with our other cats. Bumble would be a great addition to your family, he's gentle and would love sharing a couch with you. He enjoys playing with dangling toys especially one with a cloth "tail"."

Honey is a very lovely black and white cat with a white tip on her tail, which is usually held straight up. What a confident kitty! She has been with us at the Adoption Centre for quite some time now, and is just waiting for the right people to come whisk her away to a wonderful, spoiled life that she deserves. She is very independent and loves to explore her surroundings. She will come to you to be pet and scratched, but is not quite a lap cat yet. She would do well as the only cat in a home, but she gets along well with our kittens.A special $60 adoption fee applies for Honey. Applications are now being accepted for Honey at the Cat Adoption Centre in the Niagara Square

This is what Ray has to share about O'Malley: "What an impressive cat O'Malley is! He's 7 years old and a big boy, not fat at all, just a large cat. He is a real pet, where ever he and his bonded friends (Kovu and Bagheera) came from, they were loved. When we're doing paperwork, he'll come up on the table and spread himself out just to be around people. O'Malley enjoys being pet but he's not needy. He is happy sitting on the table, or on the couch beside you, or behind you." Here is Ray's update on O'Malley: "He loves being rubbed under his chin, he'll roll onto his shoulder and if you rub his chest gently he'll put one paw on you and lick your hand." O'Malley has a special adoption fee of $60.00.

Here is what Ray has to say about Ritzi: "Ritzi is a wonderful girl with a thick, fluffy, black coat. She enjoys having her head and shoulders rubbed but does not like having her hind end pet. She's very playful and enjoys playing with stringed toys and the laser dot. She is only 2 years old and has a lot of friskyness in her. Ritzi does need to be the only cat in the house. She'd be an affectionate part of your family and would love spending time on a couch with you and if a spot in the sun is available, she'd be in heaven."

He seems to know his name and loves having his head and shoulders pet. He gets on well with all of our other cats and really enjoys watching people doing things. He will be a good companion while you do your day to day activities. Rodney is very gentle and will be a wonderful addition to your family."
