Lost and Found

If you have lost your pet please contact us right away. Our phone number is 905-356-4404.

For lost dogs a description of the animal can be taken over the phone. Please include your tag number in the description as well as any other identification your dog may be wearing.

Due to the large number of cats that are found and the variations in descriptions we ask that you come to the Humane Society to see if your cat is here. When you come in we encourage you to bring a picture of your cat to help with the identification. If you are unable to come to the Humane Society please call us.

If you have lost your pet

1. Print lost posters from your lost report and put up as early as possible
2. Talk with people in the area where your pet was lost so they are aware
3. Go to areas that you may frequent where you walk your dog
4. If it is a cat, check areas that they could be hiding
5. Don't give up looking and feel free to call the shelter to check and see if your pet has been found.

Silo is missing February 18, 2010, 11:57 am LOST Our family pets is missing. Male cat, neutered, 1 year old, answers to Silo. He is very friendly and affectionate. Have you seen Simba? January 31, 2010, 3:37 pm I have lost my cat. I am hoping that someone picked him up and took him home. He is orange and white. He has a white neck, belly and white paws and is long-haired. He also has white markings under his eyes, like he is wearing white mascara as well as an orange spot on his left foot. He is older, approximately 15 years old. He is very friendly and loves people and attention. He went missing from the Kalar and Thorold Stone area. He answers to the name of Simba. Have you seen Rockster? January 25, 2010, 12:48 pm My cat is missing. Last seen on Friday night January 2nd. His name in Mwroc but responds to Rockster. He lives in rural NOTL near St.Davids but he tends to wander sometimes so who knows where he ends up. All black and very fluffy. Green eyes. Weighs about 6lbs. Lost Shih Tzu January 23, 2010, 1:32 pm Style went missing Thursday Jan 21, 2010 around 11am at Welland Ave near Giant Tiger. Our last confirmed sighting she was headed down Welland Ave towards Geneva and was picked up by pedestrian. We are desperate to get her back. Style is a 1 year old Shih Tzu Gold(brown) and White She was recently cut down, but had long ears and tail She has a little spot of black on the left side of her face She is about 10 - 12lbs, skinny looking She is/was wearing a pink collar She has a greeny blue tattoo on her belly the first 3 characters are "XFT" We've posted flyers on street poles and in every store in the area. We've put flyers in the mail boxes of over 1000 homes in the area. We've had serveral calls that she was seen on or near North St, with someone. The only description of this person we have is that he's male. There were two reports of her going into an apartment building on North st. Of course we can't 100% be sure that the dog they are reporting is Style. We do know with certianty that she was picked up on Welland Ave. If you have any information or if you have her PLEASE let us know. We are offering a $300 reward to the person who returns her to us.

Geordie is still missing January 5, 2010, 10:25 am Geordie the Cat. Still Missing. Missing since Dec 27., 2009 at 7:00pm from Bracken Street in Niagara Falls. He has been spotted around Burdette St and Carolyn Ave. Geordie is Greyish-Brown with a white fluffy neck and chest. He is an indoor cat and he is very afraid of people he doesn't know. Lost brittany spaniels November 19, 2009, 6:15 am Lost our two beloved brittany spaniels, Lucy (red & white) is approx 4 years old, and Mickey (brown & white) is approx 8 years old. They accidently got out at around 7pm on Wednesday November, 18th, 2009 in the downtown Niagara Falls area. Lucy has been microchipped, and Mickey has a tattoo in is right ear. Found-fluffy black and brown tabby male October 3, 2009, 10:35 am name: Laura Abbey phone: 905-371-3236 message: Hi there - Just wanted to let you know I\'m still looking for the family of a cat I found on Thurs Oct 1/09 in the parking lot of Meridian Credit Union at the corner Kalar & Mcleod. I have put up posters in the area and on the community board in the credit union as well as put 2 ads on Kijiji. So far I\'ve had no luck though. I work at the credit union and have even started asking members who live in the area if they know if any of their neighbors are missing a cat. I have couple of people who are more than happy to give him a new home but I want to make sure I\'ve exhausted all other options. This cat is beautiful and appears to be healthy and very well fed, taken care of and loved. Someone has got to be missing him badly. Lost cat Charlie September 12, 2009, 8:57 am Hello, Our cat Charlie is missing. He ran out the door while the dogs were being let out and we have not seen him since. He has been missing since September 4th. He went missing from Lynhurst Dr,which is between Kalar and Montrose, just off of Westwood Dr. He is black and white with big eyes. Around his eyes he has black fur, his nose and mouth area are white except for a small patch of black fur under his chin. His tail is black, and his two front paws are all white. Have you seen Buddy? August 24, 2009, 10:01 pm On Mon, Aug 24, 2009 Buddy is our 11 year old cat and has been missing since Wednesday August 19th. He is a white and black (with a bit of brown) neutered male cat and was born with a right eye that always looks sore. He has a thin black tail with a white tip on the end, a brown chin and a black spot on his nose. He was born in our home and we have never moved. He slipped outside at 8pm when one of my daycare kids was leaving. We live in the Corwin Cres/Carlton Ave. area I have also attached a picture of his mother Tulip (background) and brother Shadow (foreground) in hope that someone knows where they are. They have been missing since May 07 and Aug. 07. We miss them terribly. We have been calling him constantly and checking neighborhood sheds and garages. He knows his way home but has been known to get in our car to check things out. I hope he finds his way home but if someone has found him please please call us. Pee Wee flew away August 17, 2009, 12:45 pm Our latino cockatiel escaped on August 16, 2009. She was last seen at 1PM on Baldwin Avenue. Her name is Pee Wee, she is wary of strangers, and will likely not specifically seek them out. If she is in a tree or in an area up high, chances are she will not fly down as she is NOT an experienced flyer. Her body is mostly white and bright yellow, with a yellow face and crest, and bright red cheeks. Peewee will eat any seed or millet. She can scream pretty loudly, and can whistle the tune to 'Na Na Hey Hey... Goodbye'. Peewee is accustomed to being with other birds. She may seek out another bird or cage. June 2, 2009, 8:30 am I lost my cat on saturday night or sunday morning, I've been looking for her with no luck. I live in thorold south, so if someone found her I'm not sure if they would bring her to Niagara Falls or St Catharines or Welland, I guess it depends how far she gets. Her name is Lucy, but she usually answers to Kitten. She is just under a year old, short haired tabbi. She has been spayed, but didn't have a microchip or a collar, she is an indoor cat. She is very friendly, and usually makes high pitched chirpy noises. She isn't quite full grown, still a little smallish, she weighs about 10 pounds or so. Beauty, latino cockatiel April 28, 2009, 8:17 am She is very beloved to us. Her name is Beauty. A latino cockatiel (all yellow body/head and crest a brighter yellow) She has the distinctive orange cheek patches. She can do the "Wolf Whistle" and says "pretty girl, pretty girl". That's it for her speech. She is affectionate, but does not tolerate touching her with your fingers. She likes to land and sit on your head or shoulder and talk in your ear. She will sit on your finger or hand no problem.She likes to be rubbed with your chin. She was lost yesterday afternoon around 1pm when her cage blew over in the wind. Nicky is home!!! Thanks everyone who looked for him!! June 28, 2009, 9:33 am My 9 years old cat, Nicky, has been missing since Thursday June 25th. He is a male, domesicated and neutered cat. He was last seen around Village Cres/Drummond Road area. He occasionally likes to go outside for fresh airs under supervision. The window was left open with no screen and he slipped outside in the early morning. He has a red collar with a red bell and white paw prints around the collar. I have enclosed the picture of what he looks like. He is a very friendly cat towards people and pets. He has claws as well. Weighs approximately 10 lbs. His eyes colour are mixture of greenish yellow. He is a brown tabby cat. We have been calling for him everyday and shaking treat bags to no avail. lost dog, german shepherd chow chow mixed breed May 2, 2009, 7:49 am Kiver is part German Sheppard and part Chow Chow. He has the black tongue of the Chow Chow but most other markings are Sheppard.
