Lost and Found

If you have lost your pet please contact us right away. Our phone number is 905-356-4404.

For lost dogs a description of the animal can be taken over the phone. Please include your tag number in the description as well as any other identification your dog may be wearing.

Due to the large number of cats that are found and the variations in descriptions we ask that you come to the Humane Society to see if your cat is here. When you come in we encourage you to bring a picture of your cat to help with the identification. If you are unable to come to the Humane Society please call us.

If you have lost your pet

1. Print lost posters from your lost report and put up as early as possible
2. Talk with people in the area where your pet was lost so they are aware
3. Go to areas that you may frequent where you walk your dog
4. If it is a cat, check areas that they could be hiding
5. Don't give up looking and feel free to call the shelter to check and see if your pet has been found.

Striker January 31, 2012, 3:31 pm Our cat Striker has been missing since January 9. H is a beautiful black and grey tabby with yellow eyes. He has a red colla and weighs approximately 10 pounds. He is a very friendly cat, yet shy at first. He was last seen in his neighbourhood: St.Michael and Westport St. in Niagara Falls. If you see him please contact his family at 905.353.0484. male bulldog missing near Bracebridge January 23, 2012, 12:15 pm MISSING DOG Reward Offered! SARGE Sarge has been missing since Friday, January 6, 2012. He was last seen on West Bangor Lodge Road (the point) near Bracebridge. He is an English Bulldog (65 lbs), faun/white, with a curly tail. Neutered and microchipped. orange male missing Drummond/Stamford Area January 10, 2012, 1:15 pm Hello, Our kitty got out of our appartment last week and hasn't returned or been found. Male, not fixed. Orange (with a slightly different orange stripe) He's only 9 months old but he's a big boy (not in tummy size, but in build) Hasn't grown into his large feet yet. They're big. I don't have a really recent picture of him available on the computer. The one attached is (unfortunately) from when he was 3 months old. So he's quite a bit larger now, his face has gotten rounder. I know this makes it that much more difficult to identify but I had to give this a shot. He's quite friendly and can be very vocal when he wants attention. His name is Chase, though he doesn't answer to it. If you've had any orange males his age bracket that arent fixed that have come in in the last week and a half, PLEASE let me know! kitten missing in Wainfleet January 5, 2012, 9:01 am she is 7 months old, just recently got her unfixed, her name is cleo. She is an outdoor/indoor cat. 6 year old shipoo missing in Fort Erie December 31, 2011, 2:52 pm Our dog was at a kennel for the weekend in Fort Erie and a gate was left unlocked and he escaped. He is a 6 year old black shihpoo with white chest and and around face and front lets and paws. He is missed terribly. There is a large reward for his safe return. Black and white cat missing from Longhurst area December 17, 2011, 5:24 pm CAT MISSING FROM LONGHURST AVENUE AREA Henry has been missing since Dec. 3. He is not neutered and is an indoor/outdoor cat. He is very easy going,friendly and loves the outdoors. He has a wonderful purr and loves to talk. He also likes to hide in garages and sheds. Henry is missed so very much by his family. Joey, hound/lab mix missing. November 28, 2011, 8:54 am Joey is one and a half years old. He's a hound and lab mix. Joey is very much loved. I cant sleep, eat or think with out him. Joey is my world. He brought meaning to my life. Joey came from Loiusiana to my home. But now he is missing. Please if you see Joey he is afraid of everyone and everything. Don't chase him as he will run away. black and white cat in Mountain/Portage area missing November 10, 2011, 3:58 pm Our cat, Max is missing. He is male, black and white, and has the tip of his left ear missing. Also, a fresh cut on this ear from a fight he had last week. He no longer has a collar as we noticed it missing on Monday night. He was let out Tuesday morning and we have not seen him since. We live in the north end of the city near Mountain Road and Portage. Our family has gone and looked for him but nothing. This is very unusual behaviour on his part. Grey tabby missing in Chippawa November 10, 2011, 9:04 am Rocky is a grey short haired Tabby. He has been missing since 1pm Monday November 7th and was last seen on gunning drive in chippawa. He is extremely friendly and affectionate. 2 cats found in Cherrywood /Elmwood area. November 7, 2011, 8:46 am Found, 2 cats, in the Cherrywood Acres subdivision area (Elmwood Ave) behind Niagara Chrysler Dodge Jeep.
