Talk to the Trainer
Hello!
My name is Judith Beam. I am a local dog trainer, pet and farm sitter. On a daily basis I work with a great variety of animals from pets to livestock. I have a special affinity for animals who need a "leg up" and so I do a lot of work with animals coming from shelters, rescues and puppy mills. I have been working with the Niagara Falls Humane Society to help evaluate and find workable training solutions for the dogs at the shelter that do not fit into “the mold”. What a time it has been! I´ve greatly enjoyed working with the critters, staff and volunteers.
As I continue to help behind the scenes, I also hope to bring current training information to adopters and their families. My goal is to be available to help make the transition from "shelter dog" to "family pet" a smoother one.
This web page will be one of those tools as interactive place for advice to be given and questions to be asked. Please feel free to send an e-mail if there is a topic you´d like to see covered!
My website is the-dog-lady.com

Welcoming some more expert help for the shelter dogs.
November 22, 2011, 9:41 am Hello, my name is Renee Cote and I am a professional dog trainer. I started my career with animals working in Veterinary Hospitals then later in grooming salons but found my true passion in dog training and rehabilitation. I opened Dog Gone Fabulous Inc. specializing in obedience and agility training in 2008 and recently began working at the Niagara Falls Humane Society as the dog trainer in April of 2011. I have trained and also fostered dogs who suffered from many different behavioural problems and rehabilitating them into confident balanced dogs. I believe any dog can be rehabilitated at any age with the proper training. Helping animals who otherwise would not have a chance of being adopted and finding them loving, responsible forever homes is one of the many rewarding reasons why I do what I do.
